Wilderness Gateway is located in North  Central Idaho adjacent to the scenic Locsha River(Quiet Water) @ Milepost 122 on Hwy 12 also known as Lewis and Clark Trail. The Locsha is world Famous for it's exciting whitewater rafting and great fly fishing for Cutthroat, Rainbow and Steelhead trout, and Chinook Salmon.<br />
The mountain sides in the area are spotted with golden Tamerack trees, a conifer that turns color in the fall and looses it's needles.<br />
Boulder Creek cascades through the campground on it's decent from the 1.5 million acre Selway Bitterroot Wilderness area.
